Srinagar, Apr 08 (KNO): The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Engineering Graduates Association (JKCEGA) was held on Tuesday. Pertinently, the JKCEGA conducted its elections on March 9, 2025 for a tenure of three years in which Er. Farooq Ahmad Ganaie was elected as the President and Er. Irfan Ahmad Reshi as General Secretary of the Association. As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers was held today at the prestigious Institution of Engineers, Sonwar, Srinagar, amidst the presence of esteemed engineers and dignitaries from across the region. In his address, President Er. Farooq Ahmad Ganaie reiterated the Association’s commitment to work with renewed dedication, greater zeal and unwavering enthusiasm toward the development of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that engineers will continue to play a pivotal role at the forefront of public service and infrastructure development, assuring that genuine concerns of engineers, including matters related to dignity, pay disparity and Assured Career Progression (ACP) will be taken up with the government at the highest levels. The new leadership aims to channel fresh energy and unity within departments, ensuring that the engineering fraternity is both heard and valued. Moreover, President Er. Farooq Ahmad Ganaie extended heartfelt gratitude to all the members of JKCEGA for reposing their trust in him by electing him as President for a second term. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the welfare of engineers and assured his fellow of full support and solidarity in all endeavors—(KNO)
